The team was diverse in a way that felt structural, not decorative. Different backgrounds, different opinions, real debate.

The manager was good with the team but not good upwards. Our work often did not get the visibility it deserved.

Perks were fine. What kept me around was the manager and the team, not the snacks.

Bureaucracy grew every quarter. By the end you needed three approvals for a decision you used to make yourself.

Politics were quieter than I expected for a company this size. Refreshing after my last job.

The manager was newer to the industry but hired well and stayed out of the details. Solid trade-off.

Levelling conversations happened openly. That took the mystery out of a lot of the promo cycle.

The office culture was strong. Remote folks felt like a bit of an afterthought most weeks.

The org loved OKRs a little too much. Sometimes the ceremony became the work.

The team was small and everyone wore too many hats. That is exactly what I wanted at that point in my career.
