Managers rotated faster than anyone was comfortable with. I had four in eighteen months.

The playbook was constantly being rewritten. Fun if you like ambiguity, exhausting if you dont.

Tenure varied. Half the team had been there five years, half less than one. That gap made itself felt.

The org loved OKRs a little too much. Sometimes the ceremony became the work.

Peer reviews were the most useful signal I got. Manager reviews were a summary at best.

The manager gave real air cover during a customer escalation. I did not have to defend the team in public.

The team took the on-call log seriously. Nothing left the sprint without a root cause.

Comp bands were opaque. You basically had to interview elsewhere to find out where you stood.

Honestly a mixed bag. Great mentors on one project, then a rough manager the next quarter.

Great place to be an IC. Management track was less clearly defined.

Growth conversations happened once a year and then evaporated. Follow-through was the weak spot.
